As a global company with more than 300 locations worldwide, Brenntag is conscious of its obligation towards the environment and towards the health and safety of its employees.
Safety policy
The health and safety of the workers and the communities in which we operate are a principal concern of Brenntag. We focus on reducing the risk of accidents through the design of safe processes and installations.
Safe operations are achieved via risk assessments, risk management provisions and Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) described in the HSE-manuals, accomplished by site-specific procedures.
Product stewardship policy
Brenntag ensures the proper handling of its products while they are under Brenntag’s stewardship. This includes procurement, packaging, classification and labelling, handling and storage, possible disposal as well as product dossiers and safety instructions.
New products go through a HSE review prior to being introduced into a facility. We communicate with our customers regarding safe handling practices and product applications.
Environmental policy
Brenntag takes all appropriate measures to minimize environmental impacts on the soil, water and air.
All environmental issues are catalogued in an environmental database and described with an environmental remediation plan including provision of the necessary financial resources.
In Brenntag Latvia we consider a strict risk hierarchy.
Brenntag Latvia concluded a deal with „Latvijas Zaļais Punkts” for utilisation of consumed packaging.
